Favorite Anime Soundtrack

There should be a music section. Just putting that out there.

Which animes do you think have really great soundtracks or which ones do you listen to the most?

I would have to go with:

Hikaru no go (It makes playing go feel more epic)
DBZ (mainly for characters theme songs)
Beck
FLCL
Bleach (I dont even watch it, but i love all the openings)

I'm missing a bunch, but i don't want to name too many.

O and forgot Macross Frontier who can forget such a good anime with music is at it's core.

I don't really pay attention to the music unless its really good, which I've really only have noticed with TMOHS, Higurashi, and Bleach, so the last 3 probaly just in my memory as good since I've watched them recently.

I was actually just thinking of starting a topic like this... In no particular Order:

1) Escaflowne - I think Yoko Kanno really out-did herself on this anime. The vocalized songs are not only amazing but the symphonic songs are astounding. It's a movie-level quality soundtrack I feel wrapped up into an anime.

2) NANA - Given the theme of the anime is two bands the songs better be good and plentiful, and they are. Each opening to the series is fantastic, and other full length songs are introduced throughout.

3) BECK - Following the same idea and theme as NANA, yay for animes about bands that also yeild really band quality music.

4) Tengan Tappan Gurren Lagann - I love this soundtrack because of it's versitility and originality. The pop songs are upbeat and well done, but even the "lesser" themes are enchanting and fantastic. I think Liberate me from hell is one of the most creative songs I've heard recently, apparentally rap+opera can equal awesome.

5) Macross Frontier - While the series left some things to be desired having two songstresses produced twice the good music. You can see the quality of music just by the popularity of their tour here in Japan.

6) Death Note - Good Scores, this one the music really plays into the drama of the show, which is really what the music is all about.

7) Cowboy Bebop - Another Yoko Kanno Masterpiece, jazzy feel, great vocals and more.

I think its funny that TMOHS isn't about bands (except one episodes with my favorite song in the whole world) and yet it has amazing music, that, if im right, is actually sung by the voice actor for Haruhi. Also, I love the Christie Vee Fandubs of the songs. Exspeccialy the Super Driver fandub.

BUT, If we were to include anime video games, I'd have to mention Persona 3. Persona 3's theme song alone puts its name in the conversation. By the way, the song is called "Burn my Dread." Awesome video too. Below:
