hi all, my name is Charthinius and I've been an avid Gundam fan since it started to air in Canada, way back when. While this is fine up until now, I feel it is break away from gundam for now and find something else to enjoy. thankfully i stumbled across your podcast through Gundamn, no more then two weeks ago and must say i'm enjoying the podcast. anyways if you can recommend anything that is not gundam i will forever be in your debt
sincerly yours

Hey Charthinius!!! They're other members such as myself that founded A.A.A through Gundamn! Glad to see another one like us... Ummm I'm currently doing a all Gundam run myself and I must say how I paced it is pretty slow and I know what you mean to break away from Gundam. Do you have any specific anime you want to watch? On the top of my head I can suggest Toward the Terra which is an awesome remake from the 1980's movie with the same name and have sci-fi elements in it. Fafner if you like Gundam Seed. RahXephon ( I know Neo Lonroke from Gundamn! won't like this one) it's Evangelion but a lighter take on it, just don't compare it to EVA and you'll enjoy it.

Recommend something? You've come to the right place.
Mecha-related:
Fafner (as previously mentioned)
Macross series
Code Geass
Escaflowne
Blue Gender
Voices of a Distant Star
Gurren Lagann
Gravion
Basquash (I really enjoyed this series)
Non-Mecha:
Initial D
Sengoku Basara
Full Metal Alchemist
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (currently airing)
Chrono Crusade
There are so many more, but those are just off the top of my head.
Whereabouts in Canada are you?

Basquash wasn't so bad....
Since we're having a Basquash discussion I have to give my little insight on the series. Well my verdict on Basquatch is well not bad... Enjoyed the 1st episode but as it goes on it just fell flat ( I didn't watch the entire series to give a true score but I have watched it through a couple of episodes and stopped at episode 7 just because I was really anime depressed at the time (thanks alot CLANNAD!!!!). My main gripes with the series is that though a good premise, seiyuus, and Animation, it lacks alot to become this epic anime that's been hyped about!! I really hate the gimmick that the moon people have, and it really started to just go stale for me (Iceman Hotty You're not helping it man...). Yeah guys I know this is flawed but just keep in mind I only saw like maybe the 1st 7 episodes.

Re: hi and i need help
I have created a Basquash Thread in the General Anime Discussion section of the forum. Let's move the discussion over to that portion of the board. Thanks.
