Skype with Chiaki

So I was thinking, you know what could be fun? Getting to know people better? You know what else could be fun in doing so? Skyping.

I've set up a skype account for anyone who wishes to contact me. The name on the account is of course: Chiaki Tachibana and the username for the account is aaachiaki

Please feel free to ask me questions about Japan, anything from how my day was to what's really in vending machienes, to just about anything else you can think of.

If you want to practice your Japanese with me, or perhaps my Japanese with you, depending on your level, that's good too.

And of course I'm always willing to chat about anime!

Rules:

1) When sending a contact request on Skype please let me know your forum username, so I know who I'm taking to, and so I know it isn't someone random. If you don't do this I may ignore you, don't take it personally!

2) Don't abuse this, I'm not quite sure how, but it's up to my disgression. Basically, don't be creepy.

3) No video, maybe in the future, right now I'm thinking no, so don't ask mmmkay? If you want to turn yours on that's fine so long as you're not breaking rule #2 in doing so.

4) I will be on skype when I have time and when I can. Feel free to politely ask me when I may be on again (I'll try to let you all know) or try to schedule a time with me. Bothering me about it wont work.

Hey Chiaki just a little addon to your topic. How about having a get-together of the AAA community and have like a conference call? Is it a good idea? a bad Idea? let me know. ummmmmm o yeah I'm assuming this would be a skype thread just search bakuhasu in the add friends section. There you'll find me!!!

This sounds like a great idea, but what if you've never used Skype before?

No problem skype is a pretty easy program to use and its free to register and download. Any problems continue on posting.

Well the ideal goal would be to have a conference call at some point... With me and people, between people, or with me and the other hosts and people.

Skype is a free service, it's easy to download, and even easier to register for a name. You can download it from here: http://www.skype.com

After downloading open skype and there's a little blue line of text right beneath the user name that says something like "I don't have a user name." You click that, fill in whatever information you prefer, put in a valad e-mail (skype doesn't send you spam, they're a big company) click okay and you're ready to go.

If you don't have a webcam/mic skype has a traditional text box IM function which can also be used to chat.

Hey guys im down with a skype conference sometime. i just set up an account.

Wanted to let everyone know I'll be about in about three hours from now. That'll be about 1am EST. I'll bum around for a half hour, see if anyone wants to chat then poof if no one's there.

I'm horrible at timezones, so I'll just leave Skype active until I hit the sack. I'm MTZhanShi on Skype since most manners of CanadaMan were taken.
