Jpop Thread
Been thinking about posting this thread and since FinalFan wanted it heck why not. First of all I listen to quite amount of jpop Ranging from rap M-flo to rock Ellegarden my favorite band. I'm a little on the mainstream side when it comes to Jpop.
Ok my top well 5 Jpop bands or groups
1) Ellegarden: Reason is that no engrish and defined J-rock or punk in this case with their flare.
2) RADWIMPS: Mainly rock with a little rap. Light but fun to hear.
3) BACK-ON: New World had me sold. Think of this band as the japanese Linkin Park. Also they did the opening to Eyeshield 21 and Air Gear.
4) Maximum the Hormone:
This one is my guilty pleasure. I'm sure everyone here just loves the yelling and the screaming in the second opening of Death Note.
5) Otsuka Ai: I used to have an obsession over her. My god she just matches my personality through her music. If it's hyper she'll go hyper but she can sing let's put it at that....
Soo yeah guys what are your top 5 artists or groups in jpop? I hope I really broaden people's mind when it comes to the Japanese music.

Well no offence Baku, but... 4 out of 5 of these songs are Jrock not Jpop. The last one is the only one can really be considered Jpop to me atlest.

Sort of reviving this topic just for the new members to input what is their favorite artist or track when it comes to j-pop. Looking forward to what favorite j-music is at your disposal.

hey thanks for sharing but I have heard better artists than Yui. Again is a good start for brotherhood. such as Closer by Inoue Joe
this is when it comes to opening for anime. Yes I know it's naruto but great song nonetheless

This song is a like a year or two old but kind of iconic, Japanese people still love it.

GreeeN always is guaranteed in the top of the list when it comes to Oricon top weeklies. Their song Ai Uta is certainly had a streak going.

Too... much... rock...
JPOP FTW! Its just too awsome (and at times just feels good to listen to)
Some of my favorite artist are the Japanese voice actor for haruhi, Aya Harino (I think i spelt it right)
And Cristina vees dubs of anime songs, as well as the animes original songs them selves are also awsome. But those are just 2, of manymanymanymany Jpop songs and artist I love.
